King of the Kill

King of the Kill arose out of the desire to allow those who don't have time or ability to stream to participate in some tournament style gameplay.

 

So, firstly, what is King of the Kill?

King of the Kill is a rotating role. It is awarded every month to whomever wins that title. You can win the title more than once, and we will keep a running tally of past winners.

 

How does it work?

Each month, we will choose a theme. The theme may be interpreted broadly and can come from any game: Dark Souls III, Halo 2, Asteroids – the game does not matter. All that matters is that it fits the theme. For consideration, you will submit your video URL and description to CompanyofChampionsCoC@gmail.com. Your video should come with as detailed as possible an explanation of the context for the kill.

 

If your video is in the top 5, it will be included in the King of the Kill monthly video. Yes, every month we’ll make a video with the best kills submitted and post it to our YouTube channel. People will then vote on which kill they felt was the best. That video will be announced, and the victor will claim their role. At that point, a new tournament will start.

 

Basic Rules

Whatever the theme, the kill should involve some challenge. For example, if the competition was a speed kill, Yui's SL802 destruction of Iudex Gundyr would not fit the challenge criteria because NG Iudex Gundyr (from Dark Souls III) is not a challenge at SL802. Conversely, a sub-one hour fist only SL1 Gael might fit the bill, since it’s a lot faster than your average SL1 Gael fists only kill.

Deadlines

The first two weeks of the month will be for submissions. Submissions will close, and the mod team will compile the five finalists and set them up for voting. The community will then choose who won.
