Bounty System
Announcing Company of Champion's Bounty System!
Over the last few weeks, we have been discussing ways to engage with the community more and we thought about having a moderated bounty system.
What's a bounty system, you may ask? Just like those bounty hunters (looking at you, Han Solo), it's a way for someone to earn something while doing challenges. Someone will put up a bounty for a challenge they want to see done and, if you do it, they must give you the prize they promised. A month of nitro for a kill? A gift card for an entire run? You name the price.
Rules
Unlike most events, this will be ongoing at all times and since there are multiple people involved (payers, winners and moderators), there will be multiple sets of rules, so bear with me:
Bounty Poster
- As the bounty poster, you must state your prize and what challenge you want to see accomplished.
- All challenges should be humanly possible. (as such, joke bounties such as "Soul of Cinder fists only without sprinting at SL1 will not be accepted)
- You have to prove to the moderation team that you can afford to pay off your bounty, since it'll look bad for both parties if you don't pay it off at the end.
- If someone accomplishes your challenge, you must pay them in a reasonable amount of time. Let us know if you're in a financial struggle and can't pay immediately. Not paying at all will result in a mute and possibly a ban.
- You can state a deadline for your challenge if you wish to do so.
Bounty Hunter
- As the bounty hunter, you must complete the proposed challenge without any kind of cheating and must have video proof of such. If there's a deadline, you must complete it before the time ends.
- When you complete it, you must show your video to both the moderation and the bounty poster so we can check collectively and see if it's all done properly as stated by the poster.
- If you complete your bounty and your poster doesn't pay it immediately but has stated reasons for such, don't harass him. We, the moderators, will deal with it in your behalf.
Moderators
- Moderators are allowed to post bounties.
- Moderators are also allowed to be bounty hunters.
- The other actions needed to be done by moderators have already been stated before.
Bounties
All bounties will be displayed in the new channel #bounty-hunts with the name of their poster, the challenge proposed and the prize to be given to who completes it. This will be done so everyone can have an easier access to all available bounties and see what suits them best. The preferred reward for a bounty is some type of giftcard, as a way to avoid scamming and phishing. When a bounty is claimed, claimant receives the role "Bounty Hunter" and will be logged in the #bounty-board, a tally of all bounties claimed.
Mediation
In the event that a Bounty Hunter and a Bounty Poster disagree on whether a kill is fulfilled or not, Moderation Team will mediate and issue a ruling. This decision is final.
Be as specific in your instructions as you can.
